The Orange County Rescue Mission (OCRM)Â is located 15 minutes from campus and is open to many different people through many walks of life. The OCRM provides many different types of services to all individuals, and volunteers are always welcome.Â
2. Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County
Located only 20 minutes from Chapman, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is a great place to volunteer in order to feed the hungry around Orange. Sorting and packing food are just a couple activities that volunteers can participate in with the food bank.Â
3. Orange County Ronald McDonald House
The Orange County Ronald McDonald House is a mere six minutes from Chapman and is a great way to provide care and support to families and children within Southern California. Cleaning and organizing are a couple tasks that volunteers are able to do within the house.Â
4. Orange County Animal Care
The Orange County Animal Care is only 10 minutes from campus and is a great way to volunteer if you love furry friends! Volunteering at the animal shelter includes hosting donation drives, socializing and grooming some animals, giving tours of the shelter, and so much more! It is a great way to integrate volunteering into your life, especially for the holidays!
5. Mary’s Kitchen
Mary’s Kitchen is a soup kitchen located six minutes from Chapman University. At the soup kitchen, volunteers are able to provide meals to the homeless, clean the facilities, and assist with showers. It is a great way to interact with others not only during the seasons, but all year long.Â
