What is one thing a lot of people don’t know about you?
I’m absolutely in love with performance poetry. I took a class at my old school, and I just love the emotion behind it and how you can say anything, or tell any story from any perspective no matter who you are.
How did you get invited to see Britney’s show in Vegas?
I actually did some research and reached out to the woman who is in charge of the media relations at Caesar’s Palace! I sent an initial e-mail just letting her know I was the host of a small online radio show in Orange, as well as I would be starting a youtube channel and that I would love to review Britney’s show! We talked back and forth for a week or so and I was given the tickets to come see and review the show. It’s honestly all because I just put myself out there and asked.
What inspired you to start your youtube channel?
I really would love to be a television talk show host. That’s like the ultimate dream of mine, and so I’ve been in the live audience of “The View” a couple times, and during the commercials they talk to you, take questions, etc. and one time I was there I asked them “What do I need to do to get where you’re sitting? If I want to be a TV talk show host, where do I start?” and Whoopi Goldberg just said to me, “Start your own show. If it’s good, eventually the powers that be will notice.” So since then I had been just thinking of what I could do to start my own show, and I’ve always loved youtube vloggers, so it just seemed like the right step. That’s also why I started with Chapman Radio, because Nicole Wallace and Rosie Perez said that was someplace I should look too!! Now It’s just about keeping everything interesting and making new content!
You have a radio show, what type of music do you like to play on it?
I run it with my friend Alexxus and we like to play like top 40 hits, and it’s pop music, some rap, R&B, EDM, etc. It’s a mixture of all the music that’s popular at the current moment!
In the future, how do you plan to combine all of your endeavors to make a career?
I’m working really hard to become a personality, because at the end of the day, that’s what I want. I want to have my own brand, and my own marketing strategies that allow me to do things such as be a daytime TV Talk show host. So that’s what I’m doing now: I’m taking all of these endeavors and just really trying to create a brand that is ME. With the radio show, the youtube channel, any other path I decide to go down, it’s all about just putting myself out there and creating this brand and doing stuff that I love to do. So I feel in some ways they’re already combined, and it’s just about working hard to make sure they, and I, shine and flourish.
