What do you miss the most about your hometown and why?
I miss the food the most. In San Francisco, the Asian cuisine is amazing, and it’s one of those places where you can turn on any corner and find some place to eat.
What is your favorite college memory and why?
Undie Run. Every single one that I’ve ran in. There is something just so beautiful about how everyone is so hectic stressed, but we can all step away from it for one night and relax together.
I know that you’re an actor — how did you get started, and why do you enjoy it so much?
I had to take an elective in high school, and honestly, acting had all of the prettiest girls. When I got into it, I realized I really loved it. I also really loved watching movies with my pops, so it all just melded together.
What are some current projects you’re working on?
I’m currently working on the Netflix series, Dear White People, a series with Funny or Die called Tales of Titans, a feature film, and Days of Our Lives.
Out of all of the projects you’ve worked on and are currently working on, which one has to be your favorite?
By far, the Netflix series — it’s such a great family and community; we’re bonded super close. It’s also given us enough room for improv, so we get to freely do what we want and go with whatever makes us laugh.
How have you been able to balance school, your fraternity and acting?
I’m not too great about it, but I’m all about scheduling. I’ve realized that I’m a happier person when I’m busy; I can’t stand feeling that I have nothing to do.
What’s your best party trick?
I can open a beer with your forearm; I just really dig it in there and twist it open.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I can really get down with singing some Frank Sinatra.
If you were to be any animal, what would it be?
I would say lion, but most of my friends would say peacock. Lion because they have the sense of loyalty, family, and courage, but my friends would say peacock because I love to “strut my stuff.”
Best show to Netflix and Chill to?
Anything but Narcos.
