What’s your most memorable gift?
My auntie made me a quilt when I graduated from high school with all the things I liked as a child growing up, like Winnie the Pooh and stars. She put a lot of thought into it, and it was a full-on quilt. It was really nice.
What’s your biggest regret?
My biggest regret is not doing as much as I could in high school. I kind of just played around. Obviously I did something right because I made it to college, but I wish I was more involved. I was involved in sports but not much of the academic aspect. Now, I don’t play sports in college, but I still have that mentality of not getting involved, so I wish I started young without people having to ask me to do stuff and just do it on my own.
How do you see your future?
My dream job is to work in broadcast journalism. I want to go back home to Hawaii and work at a news station there as a reporter. That’s my ultimate goal.
Where’s your happy place?
I’m the most happy when I’m home in Hawaii. I’m a total water-baby. I love the ocean, so whenever I’m in the ocean, nothing can make me mad. I just feel awesome and amazing.
