HC Chatham Class of 2015: More People to Thank!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

We have more members of the HC Chatham Class of 2015 to celebrate!

Sam Elbaz is a talented leader. She studied International Business, Psychology and International Studies, supplementing her global education with work as the Student Marketing Assistant and the SEO and Google AdWords Consultant at Chatham. Sam also served as CSG’s Vice President of Finance, ensuring that every student organization had the budget they needed to make campus life vibrant. Sam welcomed our Her Campus chapter with enthusiasm and provided meaningful encouragement every step of the way; we are grateful to have had her support!

Gretchen Geibel is deeply dedicated. She balanced Chemistry with Choir, Hemidemisemiquavers with Her Campus. As our first News and Lifestyle Editor, she helped new writers find their voices and supported flourishing writers in the creation of new work. Gretchen recently moved across the country to work toward her PhD in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Colorado University. The characteristics that made Gretchen such an incredible part of our team – patience, a sharp eye, and a commitment to collaboration – are what will make her an exceptional scientist. We appreciate all that she did for HC Chatham!

Kayla Mento is an extraordinary artist. A Visual Arts major at Chatham, Kayla spent hours delving into literature on art therapy for her Tutorial and finishing projects in the ADC. Her photography is stunning for its visual complexity and interesting composition; one of her snapshots served as our first Style Blog post! Kayla also shared her advice with us for a number of articles, eager to provide support as our organization grew. It’s always exciting to have the opportunity to work with a true creative spirit, and we are delighted that she shared her passion with us.

Erin Smith knows how to empower students. As one of our first editors, she gave every writer reassuring feedback and a helping hand. At Chatham, she worked with Student Affairs to make Woodland Road feel like home. She gave the university her all, participating in nearly every tradition and frequenting events. Now, she’s studying Higher Education & Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina while interning with Appreciative Education. Erin makes every member of a team feel welcome and valued, and we believe she’ll be an incredible asset to any university.

We also want to thank Boram Min! She left her home university in South Korea to spend the ’14/’15 academic year at Chatham, and we are thrilled to have had her on the team. She is endlessly professional, delightfully spirited and has a philanthropist’s heart; we know there are beautiful things ahead for her!

Thank you to Sam, Gretchen, Kayla, Erin and Boram for endless support, generosity and kindness. You played an integral role in shaping HC Chatham, and we are grateful for you!
