There are so many things I love about autumn—the cooler weather, the outfits, the warm drinks. But lets be real, all of those pale in comparison to the true MVP of fall: berry lip colors. Those bright pinks and oranges were great all summer, but forgive me for missing those dark berries. Sure, they seem a little intimidating at first, but once you get them on your lips, trust me, you’ll be ready to sing their praises! Here are five of my favorite berry lip colors for you to try this fall.

1. Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Collection Lipstick in shade 107 ($4.23)

I’m starting off with the cream of the crop, because why not? This matte lip color is unbelievably creaming and hydrating—not something you hear much about mattes! It is pigmented enough to only need one layer and you’ll only need to reapply once or twice throughout the day. Oh, and that price is no joke. Bless!

2. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lip Color in shade Glastoberry ($32)

This is clearly a little on the pricey side, but lets be honest, this packaging makes it all worth it! Oh, and as far as the color? Matte and the best shade of berry, this color is long-wearing and flattering on all skin tones. This one won’t dry out you lips and stays on and kissable all day.

3. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in shade Standout ($7.64)

The formulation of these Colorburst Matte Balms is completely unbeatable in my humble opinion. They hydrate like their equally popular Balm Stains, and will stay on your lips all day. I love this dark berry red color for autumn, but honestly, it’s so gorgeous I would wear it all year round!

4. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in shade Damned ($26)

Okay, so I’ve already sung the praises of the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, but I just can’t get enough! This color is your classic berry shade and goes on like an absolute dream! Don’t think I’m lying when I say you only need one application for it to stay on ALL DAY and into the night. Swoon!

5. L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Red Lipcolor in shade Zoe’s Red ($8.99)

I don’t know who Zoe is, but I like her taste! This is part of a new range from L’Oreal that features a host of gorgeous, statement red lip colors. This lipstick is slightly less matte than our others, but the satiny finish is still completely gorgeous, and the color is universally flattering!
