The Six Spookiest Halloween Shorts

Besides It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and the annual Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror”, Halloween doesn’t have the same television presence as Christmas. While we all have our own favorite shows that will get the occasional Halloween special (my favorite will always be “Werehog of London”, a now semi-lost cartoon from the Timon and Pumbaa series), are there any true Halloween TV specials?

Well, from the 1920s to the 1950s, Disney was the Rankin-Bass of Halloween animation and managed to capture both the charming, whimsical side of the holiday and the darkest realms of the shadowy corners into which we peek on Halloween night.
