On Friday, September 6th, about 30 students loaded up in buses for a trip to Point State Park, also known as the tip of the “Golden Triangle” or “Point” for short. We spent about an hour exploring all angles of the towering, 150-foot tall fountain and surrounding area. There, we really saw why the “Point” was called the “Point” with the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meeting to form the Ohio river. What history! And, as an added bonus, there was an artist who did caricatures for all the attending students!  Â
