So as you ladies may already be aware, London fashion week is in full swing and some of the trends we are seeing walk down the runway are just too gorgeous not to replicate under student budget of course! Yes ladies I so do have your back! Again a return of tonal shades has popped out of the closets as many front rowers have been rocking AW15 shades and piecing them with mutual top to toe tones. Others on the other hand have been rocking the khaki trend, clearly inspired by this season’s Marc Jacob’s pieces that have walked down the runway! I’m not sure how I feel about some of the pieces we have seen this season in particular with Kanye west’s collaboration with Adidas! We definitely are seeing mixed reviews and a slight divide when it comes to the fashion community as some bloggers and fashion critics haven’t exactly warmed to the idea of spanx suits with a sports bra on top! I’m going to play it safe however and treat you ladies to budget loving pieces that you can get from some of the high street stores which will work wonders for those curves!
The first piece I’m going to serenade you with is this gorgeous elegant number, a shirt dress taken straight out of the neutral palette. It not only merges both seasonal trends but highlights that gorgeous silhouette with its adjustable drawstring to synch in the waist and give you that desired curvy effect with a masculine edge or if you want to go for a fierce look then pair this baby with a leather jacket a pair of rocker boots and you’re good to go. Strolling down the hallways, heading to that 9am lecture, you sure will be turning a couple of sleepy heads in your wake! Oh and of course as I had promised this will fit right into your dying budget as it only retails in at £14.99, yup that’s right, you heard correct! £14.99! H&M really is doing it for us this season!!
Another trend we’re seeing make a sort of updated come back is suede! We’ve seen the likes of Cara Delevingne strut down the catwalk and work her magic for the likes of YSL in gorgeous suede pieces which give any outfit an edge! Of course Asos have not let us down and have given us their own spin on the material and have produced these gorgeous babies, suede fringed hot pants! They’re just too cute to pass on! Wear these with a headband a white sleeveless shirt and a pair of ankle boots and you have nailed the boho look to a T! I dare say that these will definitely give you an edge over your peers when it comes to the wardrobe department! Not only are they super cute and so in, but they’re also priced at £55 and with an extra 10% off for students, these babies go down to £49.50! Oh the perks of being a student, I must admit going to uni does spoil us at times, doesn’t it?
I’m in total and utter love!
Finally as they save, I have saved the best till last! The absolute piece de resistance, I am literally drooling! This piece has to be my absolute favourite, and I am dying to share it with you ladies! I can’t help but feel like a roman warrior with these wrapped around my legs, I mean look at them: they’re gorgeous! A pair of flat sandals with a twist! Taupe leather flat sandals, knee high with a lace up closure, you not only get the comfort factor but also the style factor thrown in for free! They’re perfect and practical for a student on a shoe string budget only retailing at £89, 99.
Let’s put it this way, where the hell are you sun? I need you in my life at the moment! These babies need some form of justification and I’m pretty sure the weather isn’t living up to scratch so while we’re waiting for a glimpse of sunshine, a ray of hope, we’re just going to have to settle on wearing them on holiday!
Ohh hell yeah, where’s my passport?! I think I need to book that one week holiday to Spain EasyJet were having an offer on, after all reading week is around the corner!
