On October 28, Cardi B’s sister Hennessy Carolina, claimed that Nicki Minaj leaked her number, resulting in hundreds of spam-my texts, some of which threaten Cardi and her three-month old daughter Kulture.
The two famous females just can’t seem to get along and have been beefing back-and-forth over social media and interviews. After repeatedly denying beef between them for months, things first started to escalate back in September when both Nicki and Cardi were in attendance for Harper Bazaar’s fashion week party. Cardi allegedly threw a shoe at Nicki and yelled, “Write some shit about my kid again bitch,” in her direction. She later took to Instagram to talk about it.
A few days later, Nicki also commented on the situation on her Beats 1 Queen radio show, saying:
“The way they passed by looking at this disgusting commotion I was mortified. I could not believe how humiliated it all felt. Because we, how we made ourselves look.
I would never discuss anyone’s child. For someone to pin that on me…[That’s] because I’m the bad guy and they know people would believe them. I just want to let the world know that Onika Tanya Maraj will never has never speak ill of anyone’s child. I am not a clown. That’s clown shit.”
She also accused Cardi B of building her career on “sympathy and payola.”
Almost immediately after, Nicki again went on her radio show to deny this allegation and throw more shade.
Cardi B then took to Instagram and posts ten rant videos about the situation, asking if Nicki is the victim or the gangster.
She also said in regards to the shoe incident, “You lie so much you can’t keep up with your fucking lies. First you say you’ve got the footage, but then you say you wanna pay somebody $100,000 if they give you the footage? Make sense when you’re talking.”
Does this seem like a lot to keep up with? It’s still ongoing. While we’re sad that two awesome rappers could not get along, it’s also resulting in a lot of entertaining drama with people taking sides.
Hopefully these two will work things out, but in the meantime…
