The Jonas Brothers are making all our childhood dreams true and are back with new music.
The brothers released “Sucker” at midnight today.
The song is nothing like the old Jonas Brothers. It’s more of a modern-2019 pop song. The brothers harmonize, and Nick seems to sing a majority of the song himself. The song is about how they are a “sucker for you.” The clapping, guitar riffs, and drum beats are catchy. It’s a good song, but definitely not what I at least expected.
On Thursday, Joe Jonas tweeted confirming that new music from the band was on the way. His caption simply read “Midnight ET.”
“Sucker” comes six years after the brothers split, but a reunion has been rumored to be in the works for a while now.
The Jonas Brothers will continue to be present in our lives this week as they host the Late Late Show for a week-long takeover from Monday, March 4 to Thursday, March 7. The show will start with an exclusive interview with James Cordon, including their reasons for getting the band back together now. Throughout the week, the brothers will play various games like “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” and “Carpool Karaoke,” as well as take part in sketches and songs.
The Jonas Brothers became heart throbs in 2005, after Disney Channel jumped their career. Kevin, Joe, and Nick released five albums in four years, and the brothers split in 2009.
Joe and Nick have had sucessful music careers since, with Joe leading DNCE since 2015.
