Make Your Own Holiday Gifts for Your Friends!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clark chapter.

We all want to be able to buy gifts for our loved ones for the holidays, but finances and finals make it a challenge. So why not destress with a little craft time and make DIY gifts for you friends and family? Here are 4 DIY holiday gifts you make that will be a big hit.

Tea Packet Christmas Tree

For our friends and families who love assorted teas, you can easily design. Simply pick out some different flavored tea packets and tape them to old cardboard rolls from your paper towels. It’s a simple, inexpensive, and creative (not too mention sustainable!) way to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.

Hot Cocoa Mason Jars

These warm treats come in great use once the semester is over and you want to kick back and relax. With a little hot cocoa mix, marshmallows, and major jars, you can whip up something sweet. Plus, the mason jars can be used as mugs for the yummy treats!

Candy Sleigh

With some candy canes and candy bars, you can easily assemble an array of sweet treats that can be enjoyed for any craving.

Decorate Your Own Mug

Have your favorite girls over for a Decorate-Your-Own-Mug night! Using white mugs, a pretty nail polish, and a container of water, dip your mug into the container and make a marble mug to enjoy over the holidays.

Whether enjoying a warm beverage or making mugs with your favorite girlfriends (or both!), these DIY gifts are a great way to show yours friends and families how much they mean to you.

Among reading, she is an avid writer, where she creates works that help women feel confident in their own skin. You can find her stretching out on a yoga mat, catching up on personal reading, or throwing punches at a boxing gym. While she hopes to pursue a career in teaching English literature, Samantha is very excited to write for Her Campus.
Ciara is a student at Clark studying Political Science as well as Cultural Studies & Communication. She spends her time running around between classes, working at both the Campus Store and Annie's Clark Brunch and trying to figure out what to do with her life after she graduates this May. Her favorite color is green and her guilty pleasure TV shows are The Bachelor and Dance Moms. Ciara is thrilled to be a Campus Correspondent alongside one of her best friends, Kelly Rourke!
