1. Study like there’s no tomorrow (literally summer is right around the corner so give it your all now, so you can feel good about later)

Spring finals week is your last week of the school year. Summer’s one week away, and it’ll be here before you know it. I know it sucks that you have to study for finals, but summer’s almost here so give it all you have one last time. When summer begins and you didn’t get the grades you wanted, you’ll be mad at yourself. Push yourself to get the best grades possible now so that your summer will be 100% better a week from now. Study hard, and it will pay off in the end.

2. Give your brain the break it’s begging for

Your brain can get tired, and you are useless without your brain. Step away from the books for a little while and regroup. There are so many things you can do to give your brain a rest including taking a walk, taking a bath, watching your favorite tv show, and even cooking dinner to refuel your body while you rest your brain. Another really important thing during finals week is to take breaks whenever possible. Overloading your brain can result in bad grades, stress, and anxiety. Don’t work too hard, take breaks, and you’ll be set for finals week.

3. Take time to relieve stress by putting it into a workout

One of my favorite things to do during a busy week is to let off steam by working out. Working out on a daily basis is important because your body needs time to work out all the stress you’ve been building up over finals. You can go to the gym and have extra time to drive, or you can work out in the comfort of your home. Working out at the gym gives you a feeling of being away from your house that you’ve been studying hard at. And staying at home to work out means that you can take a quick break, and get right back to studying as soon as you’re done.

4. Eat healthy, or you won’t make it

It’s hard to set aside time during the day to cook a healthy meal, or to meal prep a healthy lunch while you’re at school, but it is so important to keep putting healthy things in your body to work as fuel to keep you working hard during finals week. The easier route to eat is, of course, junk food, but junk food only slows down your brain. I know that you want the best grades possible, and finals week is the most stressful week of the year, so eating healthy is an important thing to remember to keep up with.

5. Act like you’re five and give yourself a bedtime

It may seem like staying up later to study is a good idea, but it’s actually the opposite. The more sleep you get, the better prepared you will before your finals and finals week. Staying up later and losing sleep only causes you to feel tired and less prepared. Sleep is one of the most important things you need to get through finals week.
