Movies and Music Worth Mentioning This Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.
Since we all may not have the time to keep up with the movies and music coming out so quickly and so often every week, we here at Her Campus Clemson have decided to help all of you out and put it all in one place.

Everyone loves going to the movies when the spare change is around, so whether it be for date night, girl’s night, or just boredom, we have the movie reviews for you straight from Rotten Tomatoes. Last week, March 30th, there were a variety of movies released:
Wrath of the Titans: 25%
Starring Liam Neeson, the ultimate 3D adventure film about the classical greek mythology (that your boyfriend will probably beg you to see).

Mirror Mirror: 50%
Starring Julia Roberts, a modern re-make of Snow White (more for the kiddos).

Bully:  93%
A documentary following five American families and how their children struggle with bullying in schools (you’d have to go to a special theatre to see this one).

Goon: 79%
Starring Seann William Scott, a comedy about a minor league hockey team (this may be the perfect movie to see with your beau).

Intruders:  only rated 32%
Starring Clive Owen, a suspenseful horror about two parallel families who are witnessing apparitions (for all of you wanting a scare).

The box offices aren’t the only ones that were keeping busy last week; the music industry was also in full swing. All of these albums and songs are available for purchase from iTunes. Here’s some updates from last week:

Nicki Minaj‘s “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”
was finally released.  Yes, the wait is over, the entire album is now available for purchase.

Justin Bieber‘s new hit song, “Boyfriend”, was released for all you die hard Beibs fans. And even for those of you are that aren’t die-hards, it’s actually not that bad.

Madonna released her album “MDNA”, for all you old-school type pop fans.

American Idol’s Ruben Studdard released his “Letters from Birmingham” album. Wait, he’s still making music?!
