Hello everyone I hope you are doing well. It’s Women’s History Month. Yay woooo. Women are bosses and I am forever thankful for all the women in my life. To commemorate this month I think it would be cool to talk about the history of women and women that were the 1sts in their field. So without further ado.
- Women’s History Month is celebrated every March in Australia, U.K. and the U.S. It is celebrated every October in Canada.
- Geraldyn Cobb was the 1st woman to pass astronaut testing in 1961
- More women are earning college degrees than men

- Edith Wharton (American Novelist) was the 1st woman to receive a Pulitzer prize for fiction
- The first person to attempt to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel was a woman.
- Hatshepsut was the only recorded female pharaoh
- Wyoming was the 1st state to grant women the right to vote

- Women were not allowed to compete track and field at the Olympics until 1928
- There are currently 25 women that hold the position of President or Prime Minister of their country.
- Susan Kare developed most of the early icons for Apple
