Unless you live under a rock (no offense Patrick), you know Friends is no longer streaming on Netflix. To recover from this hiatus until it appears on NBC’s new streaming service, here are my top 5 favorite episodes.Â
- The One with the Blackout
-
This season 1 classic centers around the gang getting stuck in an NYC blackout. Ross is still pining over Rachel and thinks it’s finally time to make a move. In the process of trying to tell his feelings to her, he is attacked by a cat while the others sing around the candlelight, creating one of the funniest scenes of the series. Eventually, the cat’s owner turns out to be a beautiful Italian man much to Rachel’s delight (and Ross’s dismay) beginning the ever going Ross and Rachel dynamic.
- The One with the FootballÂ
-
This season 3 classic follows the gang on Thanksgiving Day as they recreate the infamous Gellar Cup game outside the apartment. Ross and Monica have had this rivalry over football since they were little and continue to fight it out as the gang plays a “friendly” game of football. Holiday episodes are always so fun and this goes down as one of the best Thanksgiving episodes ever.Â
- The One Where Everybody Finds Out
-
They don’t know that we know that you know that this is the best episode ever. Confused? Just watch this season 5 episode as soon as you can.Â
- The One with UnagiÂ
-
After Rachel and Phoebe go to a self defense class, Ross believes they are still not ready to defend themselves. He claims as a student of Unagi, he will always be the superior fighter. The two girls and Ross continue to scare or fight each other to win the argument. Check this season 6 episode out!Â
- The Last One
-
Yes, you probably will cry but sometimes it’s nice to have a good cathartic sob session watching the ending of your favorite show.Â
Friends is one of the most watched sitcoms of all time for a reason. I highly encourage to check not only these, but all the episodes of this famous series.Â
