So college is a weird time because you’re technically an “adult”, but I mean how many of us actually feel like we are at first? Then as time goes on some things start to change and you realize that you are slowly, but surely, starting to get the hang of this adulting thing. The other weird thing that starts to happen is that people assume you’re an adult instead of a teenager. I personally think that’s the strangest part. So here are a few signs to tell if you’re at this weird stage of life.
1. Business Clothes
Suddenly you’ll find that your wardrobe is being taken over by blazers and slacks. You now get excited about sales at Express, JCPenney, and Kohls.
2. People start calling you “ma’am” or “miss”
Now when you go get coffee or go to the store after work, you get called “ma’am” or “miss”. After this you suddenly start questioning how old you appear and debate whether or not you should change up your style.
3. Payments
Then you realize how much bills cost and how expensive grocery shopping is.
4. Coffee isn’t about flavor anymore
Coffee used to be about flavor and was basically a way to treat yourself, but somehow in the process of getting older it became essential to your ability to function. It is now the number one abuser to your bank account.
5. Email is your main form of communication
You now check your email more than your social media. Not only that, but some emails get you really excited.
