Are you one of those girls who is always finding herself staring dreamingly at another “perfect body”? I mean, so do I. If you were to see me on campus, my face will say “Ooouuu she’s judging hard”, but in reality I’m wishing I could pull off half of the outfits I see every day.

I think because I’m skinny (technically I’m underweight), people assume that I have that “perfect body”. What more could I possibly want from the universe? Well, for one, I think I want people to stop saying to me “You’re so little” or referring to me as “little self”. I own a mirror, and I tighten my belts extra tight, I know I’m little. Whenever I try on clothes and they’re loose in the areas I desperately NEED for them to be skin tight, I’m reminded that I don’t have the perfect body, because it’s not perfect to me.

But why should that matter? Why should I sit around comparing myself to other girls and the world’s definition of perfect? I eat, my metabolism is high, and currently I’m thinking about the cheese danish I’m going to eat at work. I twerk with my little butt and when I do, I end up being surrounded by a bunch of screaming females, hyping me up to dance some more.

THAT’S when I feel like I have the perfect body.

Doing what we want as females with our bodies is what makes us feel perfect. Not worrying about judgement, but what is more important to yourself. Your body is your body. If you want to sit on your couch eating a whole pack of mystery Oreo’s while binge watching Grey’s Anatomy, then girl that’s your choice. If you feel like getting mimosas at 10 in the morning and feeling like a rich socialite, then girl do you. The perfect body is what you want it to be. Show off your curves, your “imperfections”, your beautiful vessel.

Netflix binge, drink your water, and live your life with your perfect body.
