Aside from celebrities, twitter did not seem to experience the immediate success of other social networking sites, such as Facebook, did. It is, however, slowly and surely gaining speed as one of the more influential websites of our generation. With that in mind, I decided to join twitter, myself, not too long ago and have started to thoroughly enjoy its unique social flair. But with so many people tweeting nonstop, it can be daunting to decide who to give the honor of your follow. In that light, here is a quick and easy guide to who is and who’s simply not worth the attention on Twitter these days.
If you’re looking to stalk some A-listers…
No one can deny the quintessential and original Twitter-er is Kim Kardashian. For those looking for up to the minute deets on their favorite celebs, Kim (@KimKardashian) is great at giving her fans lots of info and pictures about her many endeavors.
If you crave 24/7 fashion…
One of the personal favorite follows of Her Campus Colby is, hands down, @OscarPRGirl. This equally witty and chic chick tweets from inside the famed fashion house of Oscar de la Renta and gives constant updates about the latest trends as well as life in the fab lane.
If all you want is a good laugh…
There are two types that fall in this category: comedians and out of their mind celebrities. For the latter, no one beats the eloquent tweets of Mr. Kanye West (@kanyewest). Don’t believe me? Check out this video of the classical and hilarious spin on his most infamous quotes and you’ll instantly be convinced. The other side of the spectrum is those who actually try to be funny. These can range from side splitting ideas such as @whitegrlproblem and @YesImWaspy to one of my personal favorite comedians @azizansari. For a good laugh, you really can’t lose.
