Halloween is just around the corner, ready to take over college campuses. However, the age-old question plaguing everyone always arises: “What should I be for Halloween?” If you’re like me, your social media feeds and Pinterest boards are filled with an overwhelming amount of ideas. Often, some costumes don’t even seem possible under budget or time constraints. So to give you some inspiration, I’ve compiled a list of accessible, easy, and cute costumes you can probably create with items already in your closet for this Halloween!
1. Daphne and Velma
Grab your best friend and channel your inner sleuths together with this iconic cartoon duo! Find any purple or orange mini dress, boots/heels, and headband and there you have it! Bonus points if you have a dog and make him Scooby!

2. Taylor Swift
With the U.S. leg of the eras tour over, grab your tour outfit and repurpose it for Halloween! Draw inspiration from any era or music video fit. The easiest (and still fun!) idea is Taylor’s iconic “You Belong With Me” junior jewels t-shirt. Decorate a plain white shirt and have your friends sign it!

3. Frat Guy
Take any old button down, khakis, baseball hat, and sunglasses and you will have transformed yourself into your frat guy alter ego. This is sure to garner some good laughs!

4. Bratz Doll
Being a Bratz Doll is super fun and easy to do. Find your favorite going-out top, bright pants, and chunky shoes. Make sure to go full glam and maybe even some rhinestone stickers!

5. Lola Bunny
Lola Bunny from Space Jam is a fun and easy character to recreate. Throw on some athletic shorts, a white tank top, sneakers, and put your hair in a ponytail! Cute and comfy!

6. Powerpuff Girls
Get together with your friends and assign each other to one of the 3 Powerpuff Girls, Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles. Anything solid pink, green, or blue will work! You can really take this in any direction you wish!

7. Kim Possible
If none of the other ideas work with your budget/time constraint, this may be the easiest idea yet. Go for an all black sleek look with some green cargo pant!

8. Olivia Rodrigo
No better time to be the Sour and Guts artist than now with Olivia recently releasing her record. Similarly to Taylor Swift, recreate any photoshoot or music video look. Try a lacy top and a mini skirt. You could even put a few stickers on your face recreating her Sour album cover look!
