This year, there are fewer customizable meals at the main dining options on campus, the Coop and Frank, limited seating, and changed hours. However, thanks to the new dining options available across campus, it has become easier than ever to find something to please your palette. Here are the all new dining venues to check out—especially when you don’t feel like trekking all the way up the hill. If available, menus can be found by clicking on the names of the location.
Meal Swipe Options
Smoothies (7:30 am – 8 pm Mon – Fri, 11 am – 8 pm Sat – Sun)
You read that right: Coop smoothies is its own dining location now, still located in the former C-Store. Smoothie orders can be placed on the Boost Mobile Food Ordering app. Physical ‘Gate Cards are no longer accepted during payment, so make sure to have the GET Mobile: Campus ID Card Management app downloaded before you go to pick up your order.
SONO at Edge Cafe (11 am – 1 pm and 5 pm – 7 pm Mon – Fri)
A Chipotle-style dining location, offering customizable tacos, burritos, and rice bowls. It’s a great way to mix-up how you’re getting in your protein.
Grab Goodness at Frank (6:30 am – 10 pm Mon – Sun)
Upon entering Frank, turn left, and you’ll spot a room full of food ready to be picked up—no serving necessary. You can find a variety of pre-packaged sandwiches, salads, parfaits, and brand-name snacks.
Sushi with Gusto at Donovan’s Pub (11 am – 2 pm, Mon – Fri)
Coop sushi, now for a convenient meal swipe. ‘Nough said.
Donovan’s Pub (5 pm – 12 am Mon – Wed, 5 pm – 1 am Thur – Sat)
Same menu, new ordering system. During Donovan’s hours of operations, you can either order in-person, or order via the Boost app. Be advised that if you choose to order through Boost at night, you’ll probably face a wait time of a few hours. To avoid this inconvenience, you can pre-order meals through Boost at any point in the day, and select a dinner pick-up time that works best for you.
Honorable Mention – Chobani at Hieber Cafe
The same Chobani you know, love (if you’re an underclassman), or tolerate (if you’re an upperclassman). You can now place orders via Boost, like you can for smoothies and at Donovan’s. Most importantly, the banana muffins are larger this semester.
‘Gate Cash, Flex Dollars, and Credit Cards Only Options
Ray Brother’s BBQ at the Hall of Presidents (11 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 7:30 pm Mon, Wed, Thur, 11 am – 2 pm Fri)
With to-die-for pulled pork sandwiches and customizable grain bowls, Ray Brothers BBQ may be the most underrated dining option on campus. Be sure to check out their menu to see the goodness for yourself.
FoJo Beans at Ho Science Center (10 am – 2 pm, Wed – Fri)
Some really good coffee with unexpectedly fantastic wraps.
Colgate Inn at Merrill House (11 am – 3 pm Mon – Fri)
If you haven’t been to Merrill House yet, you should check it out just for the scenic views. To top that off, the Colgate Inn is offering some great international favorites, such as dumplings and tikka masala. Portion sizes aren’t the best considering the price point, but the Colgate Inn is a cute splurge.
Royal India Grill Food Truck near Donovan’s Pub (11 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 7 pm Mon – Wed)
It’s the Colgate community’s favorite Hamilton restaurant, now conveniently located right on campus. If you’re looking to get some hot food fast, RIG is your place. Oh, and they happen to be serving some of the best naan you will ever have.
