As we begin a new semester and I find myself less and less enthusiastic about the treacherous trek from 110 to campus (those 7 blocks really get me), I succumb more and more to the voice in my head that says “go ahead, wear your pajamas to class… all you need is a hoodie and a pair of Uggs.” That’s totally fine, right? WRONG. I look downright slovenly, not to mention that dressing like that actually makes me feel more tired. That being said, when I have five classes in a row (my sched sucks, I know) I’m simply not trying to wear heeled booties and a chiffon blouse or whatever else one would deem a “cute class outfit.” So instead, I took a look at some of my fav trends that are – thank god – here to stay for 2015, and just as easy to throw on as a pair of sweats.

Sneakers
A v popular trend last year, and a personal favorite: you can literally wear any black and white (or just generally neutral colored) outfit and a pair of sneakers and look SO COOL. It doesn’t even have to be a dress – you could do black pants/white top, all black, all white, denim, etc… As long as it’s a fairly neutral ensemble, you’re in the clear. What shoes can you find more comfortable than sneakers? Plus you don’t even have to bring a change of shoes for classes post-workout if like going to the gym during the week is something you do, in which case I have mad respect for you. Bonus points if your sneaks are a bright color and you incorporate at least one leather item.
Â
Overalls
Why overalls? Because 1) they just look really cool and have made a huge comeback this past year, and are going no where as of yet, and 2) they are literally the easiest piece of clothing you can own. No thought or planning required, because you don’t have to match anything – throw them on over a sweater in winter, or a tee in spring, and you’re DONE. Look how chic these girls look with little to no effort! Wear with booties if you feel so inclined, or just flats/sneaks (I’d suggest keds or converse).
Â
Leather
Maybe it’s just me (it’s not, as evidenced by the above photos), but I feel like a really solid leather jacket has the ability to make ANY outfit look effortlessly cool. Jeans, birkenstocks, old tee shirts… It’s all justified if you have on a leather jacket. The girl in the middle picture is literally wearing sweatpants but you’re probably like “Dang she’s so trendy.” THE POWER OF LEATHER. If you’re feeling adventurous (and it’s not too cold) throw a comfy sweater on over a leather skirt and pair with – you guessed it – sneakers.

Three Trends’ the Charm
Bonus points for the crazy kid that can put all three together for the easiest/comfiest/coolest outfit ever.
