FINALLY! If you haven’t heard, after much speculation, debate, and relentless wonder, it has been confirmed that Seattle rapper Macklemore and partner Ryan Lewis of “Thrift Shop” chart-topping fame will be headlining Baachanal on April 13th. The pair rose to great acclaim after the release of their album “The Heist,” containing hit songs like “Same Love” and the dance-worthy “Thrift Shop.” The album has a healthy mix of 90s hip hop beats as well as sweet tender melodies (such as the chorus of Same Love sung by Mary Lambert).   

The music will start playing at 11 am (gulp) due to a tight schedule, and will be followed by the electronic trap duo Flosstradamus. Opening for Bacchanal will be the on campus group the Morningsiders. All in all, not a bad day at all! Let’s hope the weather is right for some serious booty shakin’ (cough, dancing).
