You Make Me Feel Like A Natural….

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Columbia Barnard chapter.

Emily Harris ’14 knows how to stunningly let her hair down and say anything crazy (hope you caught the reference!) Today is International Women’s Day, a special occasion dedicated to celebrating women’s distinct voices, talents, hopes, dreams, beliefs, and beauty. HC Barnard hoped to share the refreshing and uplifting sight of a girl, through her style,  simply existing in her natural element. Pictured above, Emily is showcasing a 1980’s edition piece from a vintage boutique in her mom’s home country of Serbia. Those periwinkle ribbons and scattered florals are the perfect compliments to her free-flowing blond hair, which she loves to curl and twirl into a bun on any given day. Besides her appreciation of her family’s vibrant culture, Emily says she gains confidence and finds the most joy in life when being able to make fun of herself or mishearing conversations and jumping in at the wrong time.

Columbia Barnard

Alexandra is a Senior at Barnard majoring in American Studies. While she isn't planning the week's pitches for Her Campus Barnard, she can be found checking her horoscope, listening to college acapella videos, decorating her room with Paris-themed accessories, or trying to imitate Charlotte from Sex and the City. She also loves self-improvement, Indian food, the Kennedys, traveling, and laughing at her brother and sister's jokes. She is spending this semester interning in MTV's Marketing department.
