Stevie Nicks; the powerful ‘white witch’ and one of the most talented women to have ever graced this earth. Recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nicks has always been a face of irrevocable talent, and along with it has been recognized for her fashion. From her never ending bohemian-looks, shawls, dresses and her blonde curly-hair; her witchy attire remains a constant inspiration to me and my fashion.
So put on some Fleetwood Mac, or one of Stevie’s solo-albums, and scroll through some of my favorite and the most iconic looks.
- The Bella Donna cover
-
One of my favorite disc-replay finds, I got this record for $4.99, and immediately your attention goes to her graceful self on the cover, perfectly embodying what is on this record. From her purple platform boots to the white flowy dress as she holds up a ‘white-winged [parrot]’, we can see where her nickname the white witch comes from.
- The Cape
-
The top hat, the cape-like shawl, she looks as though she can fly away. And with her witchy self, would we really be surprised? Tying in the hat and shawl are what she’s known for, and we can see why. Her poised stance and innocent eyes add to the mystical look.
- The Rumours look
-
If you think of Miss Nicks, I think this look comes to mind. As we all know the cover-art for Fleetwood Mac’s most well-known and acclaimed album Rumours, this is an outtake from that same photo shoot. Once again flowing and graceful, Nicks seems to make anything fashionable including ballet, pointe shoes.
- Silky-chic
-
Oh honey! That silky kimono, the bell-bottom pants, and platform wedges creeping out below? Iconic. Who knew magenta pants and a pale-pink top could look so good. And so so ‘70’s.
- The velvet gypsy
-
Velvet from head to toe, I am truly in love with this look. The beanie, the choker and the dress tie perfectly together giving a mystically soft statement. Her moon necklace adds to it too; with every accessory showing off who she truly is.
There isn’t anyone quite like Stevie Nicks, and I wouldn’t want there to be. She’ll always be a unique and ethereal being that we were all lucky to be graced with. Rock on, gold dust woman.
