This week’s Cutie is the gorgeous Tiela Halpin. She’s a 25-year-old junior photography major that’s tattooed, pierced and a total sweetheart!
A few interesting things you’d like to share about yourself: I was named after a cartoon character; Teela from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I took 2 years off of school after my sophomore year and lived in Atlanta, GA for really no reason. I have 14 piercings and 16 tattoos, so far. I also know how to stilt walk, random right?

Favorite food: Bacon! You could put bacon on just about anything and it becomes a million times better.
Â
Biggest pet peeve: It’s a tie between people who the wrong versions of your/you’re and there/their/they’re online and skeezy dudes who lewdly catcall women on the street.
Â
Favorite song(s) at the moment: Violet Eyes by My Gold Mask. They’re a Chicago band that my friend saw at SXSW and told me about and they’re completely blowing my mind right now.

What you like/don’t like about attending Columbia: What I do like is the facilities and location. As a photo major, there’s no other school in the midwest that offers the amount of technology that Columbia does. On the other hand I dislike how segmented Columbia feels. When I was at Monmouth College, before I transferred to Columbia (for the photo program) I was able to be involved with things outside of my major. For example, I was very active in theater and I just don’t have that opportunity here. I miss it.
