Tim Armstrong â93 majored in economics and sociology at Connecticut College and is now the Chairman and CEO of AOL Inc. Â Armstrong was the former President of Googleâs Americas operation and was one of the co-founders of a local news website Patch Media. As a member of Connecticut Collegeâs menâs intercollegiate lacrosse team, Armstrong has followed his passion for sports and is now the owner of the Boston Blazers, a part of the National Lacrosse League.
Trish May â75 majored in economics at Connecticut College and is now the founder and CEO of Athena Partners. The company creates products like bottled water and chocolates, sending 100 percent net profits to cancer research and education. Prior to starting Athena Partners, May worked as product manager at Microsoft initiating the Microsoft PowerPoint project.
Peter Som â93 majored in Art History at Connecticut College and is now an American fashion designer. Som continued his studies at Parsons School of Design where he apprenticed with American designers such as Michael Kors and Calvin Klein. Som was recognized as a Rising Young Talent in the CFDA (Councils of Fashion Design of America) Scholarship Competition. His collections have been featured in fashion publications including Vogue, Elle, Harperâs Bazaar, and InStyle.
Dorcas Hardy â68 majored in government at Connecticut College and is a former Commissioner of the Social Security Administration under President Ronald Reagan. Â As of 2013, she serves on the seven-member Social Security Advisory Board, working to advise the President, the U.S. Congress, and the Social Security Commissioner on policies for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income.
Lee Eisenberg â99 majored in English at Connecticut College and now works as a renowned film and television writer and producer. Â Eisenberg is most recognized as the Executive Producer and screenplay writer for the comedy series The Office on NBC. Â Eisenberg also wrote the screenplay for the films Year One, starring Jack Black and Michael Cera, and Bad Teacher, starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.
