It’s Green Dot Week at Connecticut College! What is Green Dot, you may ask? The Think S.A.F.E. Project (Sexual Assault Free Environment), directed by Darcie Folsom, has led the Camels in a movement to provide campus-wide education about stalking and sexual and domestic violence. This entire week is dedicated to activities promoting awareness, followed by a six-hour training session on Sunday about how to help or get help for victims.
Here are some fun events that you can attend to get involved!
So What’s With The…? (All Day on February 3)
Wear your Green Dot shirts, bracelets, and other accessories to raise awareness all over campus! The point is to get people asking, “So what’s with the Green Dot?”
Cro Bar Trivia Night (10 PM on February 5)
Think you know everything there is to know about sexual assault and domestic violence? Test your Green Dot knowledge at the Cro Bar Trivia Night!
Green Dot Bingo in the 1962 Room (10 PM on February 6)
Come on down to the 1962 Room in Cro to see if you’ll be the winner of some seriously awesome Green Dot swag!
3rd Annual Ice Hockey Game (7 PM on February 8)
This game is a must-see! Wear your Green Dot apparel and support the Camels on ice! If you don’t have a Green Dot shirt yet, wear anything green–the goal is to “green-out” the stands! Snacks will be sold.
Six-Hour Training (11 AM on February 9)
Education and information, friends, pizza and Green Dot Cookies? Check. If you haven’t already gone through training, now is the time to do so!
