Gas Leak in Harkness, Flooding at the Ridges? Â
Walked past Harkness lately? A gas leak on October 2nd promoted the fire department and campus safety to close the dormitory in order to make repairs. The College Voice Reported, that the continuous smells of gasoline has left students feeling unsafe and ignored by authorities. This followed sporadic power outages and flooding in the Ridge apartments on October 17th. The Office of Communications described this flooding in an email to the student body as, âminorâ whereas videos on NESCAC Barstool show students walking through several inches of water throughout their entire apartment. As the weather only continues to grow more severe, the students are bracing for a period of repairs and breakage in the older dormitories and apartments.Â
The Nut Museum OpeningÂ
Revisiting the Nut Museum:  Visionary Art of Elizabeth Tashjian will open in the Cummings Art Center and Linda Lear Center on October 21st and be on display until December 6th, 2019. The exhibit was put on my Professor Sitiner of the Museum studies department and students in the Bad Art Course. The Artwork of Elizabeth Tashjian, former Old Lyme resident centers around her love of nuts. Connecticut College acquired Tashijanâs work after she was forced to leave her home in 2002. Â
 EEE Relief Â
Sweet relief has come to Connecticut Residents this week, as the threat of EEE finally subsides. The Day Reports, that health experts no longer suggest staying indoors. It has been just over a month since EEE has been located in misquotes within Southeastern Connecticut.Â
