One of the best parts of Thanksgiving is, of course, the elaborate meals that families share and prepare together. Each family has its own traditions, and we all have our go-to option as soon as the table is set. Here are some of our favorite Thanksgiving dishes:
I usually eat gluten-free (because my stomach inflates like a balloon otherwise), but at Thanksgiving, I’m making an exception for my favorite dish: stuffing. The combination of bread, celery, sausage, and warm spices—there’s nothing that I really eat year-round that’s like stuffing. Besides just being delicious, stuffing is also truly unique to Thanksgiving, which is why it is my favorite Thanksgiving dish.

One of my favorite holiday dishes that I made last year was actually for the morning after Thanksgiving, when my family friends and I did a great brunch spread and I made pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls with maple cream cheese icing. They tasted like pumpkin pie in a morning pastry form and could absolutely work for a Thanksgiving dessert dish as well. The recipe wasn’t hard to follow, and I would definitely make these again to bring autumn flavors into our holiday meals. I’d recommend them to anyone else who finds some time to bake!

One of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes isn’t actually specific to Thanksgiving. Every time we have a family gathering for the holidays (my dad’s entire side of the family lives in MA) my dad brings 1 dish: cinnamon raisin rolls. They are always one of the first things that run out during Thanksgiving, or any other holiday for that matter. One of the reasons I love them so much probably came from the fact I was a horribly picky eater as a little kid, but there was always at least 1 thing I would eat. Even though they aren’t quite specific to Thanksgiving, those rolls always remind me of time with family, which to me is the most important part of Thanksgiving.
