Her Campus looks back on the 2013-2014 school year. Reminisce with us about the great year we’ve had!
Family Weekend Tent Dance: The tent to end all tents. We danced the night away to Bear Mountain and Arizona Beach Club!
Lorde Acapella Challenge: After Lorde’s album release, each acapella group picked one of her new songs to perform.
Polar Vortex: This winter, Camels suffered one of the coldest winters on record. The walks from Harris to South Campus seemed longer than ever. We survived!
Library Christmas Tree: We got into the Christmas spirit, even through finals, with the festive tree made of books in the library!
V-Men Video: Alia Roth’s video to raise awareness about the Vagina Monologues went viral, reaching over 200,000 views on YouTube!
David Sedaris: Best-selling author David Sedaris came to Conn to talk about his upcoming projects and meet with students.
The Oreo Thing: Student-faculty research was picked up by several news outlets across the country when preliminary research suggested that Oreo’s are just as addictive as cocaine!
Igloo on Hark Green: The extremely impressive structure created in front of Harkness, the site of many Instagrams!
Athletic Achievements:
Mike LeDuc became the first Camel to win a national cross-country championship!
Billy Hawkey was named NESCAC Player of the Year!
Inauguration of Katherine Bergeron: This April we officially welcomed President Bergeron as our 11th president. The weekend was full of alumni, friends and family!
Her Campus Growth: This year Her Campus welcomed so many new members. We loved getting to know the freshman and other new members. We can’t wait to see where we go in the future! Thanks to the seniors for all their hard work, we’ll miss you!
