How To Make A Comfort Box

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cornell chapter.

Are you stressed out? Are you #exhausted? Are you over this semester?

Me too. But I have a trick that will help you get some comfort in the final weeks leading up to the end of the semester. Because really, why is the week after Fall Break so hard? Why are classes so tiring? I don’t have those answers, but I have an idea to make you feel better and provide a nice pick-me up. Psychologists call it:

The Comfort Box

1. Get a box

2. Decorate the box to your liking (unless you get a pre-decorated box, which is cool too!)

Then add:

3. Your favorite stuffed toy

4. A blanket (if you can)

5. Some of your favorite books/books that make you happy

6. Old letters and cards

7. An art or writing journal

8. Candy or other comfort snacks

9. Nice smells, lotions, bath bombs

10. And finally, fun things

Ta-da! A comfort box is essentially anything that makes you feel more in touch with yourself when you’re feeling down and blue about school, work or anything else. This post has an extensive list of other things you can place in your comfort box if you’re looking for more ideas.

Good luck making your boxes!
