Every semester there comes the time for finals.
It happens every semester, without a doubt, and yet the procrastination, the stressing, and the tears come those last few weeks of the semester.
I, being the biggest procrastinator that I know and am currently struggling to get that 110% that I promised I would get in all my classes, can say that I don’t quite love the idea of all nighters and cramming information into my head.
Yet here I am.
And while I was sitting blankly at my computer screen, stressing out about all the information I didn’t know and had to learn and what to do and planning and talking and note taking, I decided that with everything I had to do that I would go on Facebook.
A friend of mine posted saying how grateful she was that it was finals season. How she, unlike most girls, could have the opportunity to take classes, to take finals, to earn a degree, and so much more.
And that, right there folks, were the words that now shine a whole new light on finals.
Yes, I will be cranky and sure, I might not ace my tests. But how lucky am I to be going to the University of Colorado at Boulder where I have facilities and teachers devoted to helping me learn and take that one big step to an even greater life.
How lucky am I to be typing on my laptop about nutrition and business and all of the things the world has to offer me.
We are given the tools to succeed, and while finals call for lots of coffee and some sleepless nights, the benefits that come out of it will make up for it. To be in college and to learn about the world and to challenge ourselves with new material is something to celebrate.
You could say I’m #Blessed for finals.
