If you’re like me, you’ve probably seen every episode of Friends AT LEAST 5 times— probably more like 10 times. If you’ve ever wondered what zodiac signs Joey, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Rachel, and Ross are, keep reading.
Joey – Aries
Source: Megaman
Joey is just so loveable, and he really does have a mushy, gushy heart underneath the playboy façade. Typical traits for Aries are being confident, determined, enthusiastic, passionate, and courageous. Joey is both confident in his acting abilities (I mean he WAS Dr. Drake Ramoray on Days of our Lives) and determined to rise to the top. He is very enthusiastic about pretty much anything and everything the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. gang is up to, especially when it came to planning Ross’s bachelor party. He’s also very passionate about his friends and would go to the ends of the earth to keep the gang together.
Monica – Virgo
Source: Pretty 52
Let’s be honest, Monica is a liiiiiittle uptight. But it’s okay because she’s the mom of the group. Some of Virgo’s typical traits are being hardworking, practical, analytical, self-critical, and being overly worried. Virgos like to pay attention to the smallest details, just like Monica when she’s cleaning the apartment. Monica loves her job and loves showing off her skills by cooking for her friends (remember Rachel’s birthday flan)? She is very practical in almost all situations and overanalyzes everything, even when it got to the point where she changed the message on Richard’s answering machine (oops). Monica never thinks she’s good enough, but she’s fiercely loyal to the people she loves, which is quite possibly a Virgo’s most redeeming trait.
Chandler – Cancer
Source: The New Indian Express
Chandler is definitely the comic of the group and just loves cracking a joke any chance he can get. Cancers are a little slow to reveal their emotions, just like Chandler. Cancers can come off as a little mysterious, and we don’t know what they’re really feeling without a little prying. Remember when Rachel and Monica gave him the “good” ice cream when he finally let go and revealed how broken-hearted he was when Janice left him, again? Chandler is a very emotional person, like Cancers, but is a little afraid to show it. Cancers can be a bit pessimistic at times, like when Chandler is convinced that he’ll be alone forever (which isn’t true obviously if you’ve seen the end of the show). Cancers are loyal to their friends, and will eventually open up once they trust you enough.
Phoebe – Gemini
Source: Classic FM
Phoebe is… well she’s just Phoebe. She’s wacky, but we love her. She might be a little “floopy” sometimes, but she has a good heart and has no problem showing affection toward her friends. Geminis are very expressive and curious, just like Phoebe. She expresses herself through her music and she’s always on the lookout for something new. She’s a little indecisive sometimes (remember when it took her 2 times to walk up to her dad’s front door to meet him?). She might be a little mood-swingy, but the gang wouldn’t be the same without her. She’s very sociable and is always down to have a good time with her friends, even if that means playing football in the middle of New York City on Thanksgiving.
Rachel – Leo
Source: InStyle
Leos like being the center of attention, and so does Rachel. I mean, she walks into Central Perk in a wedding dress in the pilot episode… like, c’mon. Leos are very warm-hearted, creative, passionate, and generous. Rachel has a big heart, and it shows through the way she treats her friends. She was a little spoiled at the beginning of the series (okay, a lot spoiled), but as she grew up she learned how to take care of herself and grew an appreciation for her friends. Rachel is very creative and passionate which shines through in her job at Ralph Lauren. She finally got to use her creativity in fashion, which fostered a passion for her work that just won’t quit. Rachel is generous in love and gives all of it to her friends.
Ross – Taurus
Source: The Daily Dot
Ross pretty much embodies all the characteristics of a Taurus. He’s reliable, patient (except when it comes to sandwiches with a “moist maker”), practical, devoted, responsible (sorta), and stable. You can always rely on Ross to give you life advice, except when it comes to marriage because uh… well yeah, you know. He’s practical, except when it comes to getting a pet monkey. He’s devoted to his friends, his children (Ben and Emma), his family, and his work. He DID take Rachel to the museum and ended up working on a messed up display. Out of all of the friends, he’s had the same job throughout the entirety of the show and has lived by himself for the most part, so I’d say he’s pretty stable. Ross is well-grounded and knows who he is, and he FINALLY realized that Rachel is his lobster.
Even though Joey, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Rachel, and Ross are all VERY different people, they still love each other at the end of the day. I think twenty-somethings relate to this show so much because it really is a testament to being a young adult and trying to figure everything out. Now, excuse me while I go binge-watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
