What clubs are you currently involved in on CUA’s campus?
This semester I am involved in three different positions on campus. First I am the President of the Take Note A cappella Group on campus. Second, I am an Orientation Advisor. As an Orientation Advisor, I helped the freshman during move-in day and when they went through orientation. Lastly, I am an Undergraduate Fellow. This means I am an academic mentor for students who may struggle with their schoolwork.
What exactly is Take Note?
Take Note is a co-ed a cappella group that was founded in 2007. Originally this group was made to give students who were not a part of the music school an opportunity to sing a cappella.
Is there anything interesting that Take Note has done over the years?
Since we have become a club we have released two CD’s! Also a few years ago the group was given the chance to sing for the Pope when he visited.
How did you become President of Take Note?
Last year when they held elections I decided I wanted to run because I love singing and I wanted to become more involved with the group.
What other passions do you have besides singing?
I have so many! One is being an activist for important issues like immigration and women’s rights. I also love to travel and learn different languages. This summer I was able to travel to China and Italy it was amazing. And just being Italian is another passion of mine!
Currently what are you involved in outside of CUA?
Right now I am interning at The National Italian American Foundation. In October, we held the biggest event of the year, which is a Gala. My job was to help prepare the raffle and auction portion of the night. Now I am working on getting scholarships prepared to be given out, which is a very cool process.
Living in D.C. , What are your top three favorite things to do?
1. Going for a run on the national mall, I love the beautiful scenery I get to enjoy.
2. Going out to eat! There are so many different places to eat and all types of food to enjoy.
3. Just being in the city. I love the fast-paced city lifestyle.
