In the midst of my last quarter of my college career I can’t help but think of what will come after I graduate. It is hard to live in the moment when we are all stressed about finding a job, but I think that is exactly what we need to do. We need to live in the last moments of our time in college. These four years flew by and now we are at the end of the road. Below are five things I have learned throughout my senior year of college:
You may still have no clue what you want to be when you ‘grow up’
I started college not knowing what I wanted to do. During my sophomore year I finally found the perfect major for me. Now, that I am almost done with school, I feel like that scared freshman again, awaiting something new.
You can’t say ‘yes’ to everything
I found that being deeply involved with fewer things is more rewarding than half assing being involved in everything. In college, I found the few things that I was able to do helped me live out my passions, while also giving me a resume boost.
How fast time flies
It honestly seems like yesterday I was just graduating high school and now I am about to graduate college. Time does go by so fast, so make sure you are making the most out of everything.
Find happiness within yourself
Not only have I found it extremely important to have relationships with people, I also found it equally as important to find happiness within myself. Giving myself self-love, grace, and time is the best thing I could give myself.
You create your own destiny
I may not know for sure of what comes next, but I will be the creator of my own destiny. I think it is important that we know we have the power to change our lives and positively impact other people’s lives.
