You may have heard some alarming news buzzing around campus, and I’m afraid to tell you that the rumors are true. The beloved quick-service store, Union Station, is closing down. The main reason is budget concerns, and the space will be taken over by the Center for Career Development. While it’s unclear which items, if any, will continue to be sold at the Davis Cafe or in the vending machines around campus, I’m preparing myself for the worst. Here are the top 5 things I’ll be mourning next semester:
1. Luna Protein Bars
These babies are the perfect post-gym snack, and they taste just like a candy bar.Â
2. High Brew Iced Coffee
These little cans really pack a punch. They’re perfect for getting through a morning of classes, but they’re so strong I no longer allow myself to drink them past 4 p.m. if I want to have any hope of falling asleep that night.Â
3. Synergy Kombucha
Nothing makes me feel more #health than downing one of these on a Sunday night. It totally negates everything else I put into my body over the weekend, right?Â
4. Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies
These fresh baked cookies taste sooo much better than the ones sold in the cafe. Don’t even argue with me on this one.Â
5. Exam envelopes
You mean we’re gonna have to walk all the way to the school store, in the midst of finals week hell? No thank you.Â
