1. It’s finals time again! …oh.
2. But it’s okay because you studied and have it totally under control, right?
3. Okay maybe not.
4. And of course you have that one professor who assigned a group project for the last week of the semester.
5. But you’re gonna rock it and leave the classroom like:
6. Even though you had to deal with other people, which is so annoying.
7. So now it’s on to those final papers that are due on the last day of classes.
8. I mean you obviously already have a draft written, you’re really just editing at this point.
9. So you walk into Chambers around 8 o’clock like you’re ready to really get some stuff done.
10. And after about five hours of writing and five hours of procrastinating, it’s six a.m. and if you’re not dead, you have a finished paper!
11. So you go turn it in to your professor and walk away from their office like:
12. FINALLY you can actually focus on studying for your self-scheduled exams. Yeah, you still have to take those.
13. Just ignore the Facebook/Twitter/Instagram posts from all of your friends at other schools that are like, “I’m done! Summer 2k14!”
14. You’re not even mad. Davidson’s totally worth it. Plus you got like three hours of sleep last night so you’re golden.
15. So you drag yourself out of bed and go to Chambers, water bottle in hand, to take that last final. You’re rocking some serious bags under your eyes and the last time you showered is a distant memory, but you don’t even care because you’re this close to being finished.
16. Somebody comes up to you and is like, “wait, do we line up by our name or our professor’s name?” and you wonder where they’ve been EVERY SEMESTER.
17. And somebody else is really nervous and it’s starting to get on your nerves.
18. There’s also that group of people who think they’re at a party down the hill and have decided to use this time for social hour.
19. Okay, the line’s moving and you get your exam envelope and go to your classroom and sit down and you know you’re ready.
20. You get the exam out and you don’t recognize anything on the page and everything is horrible.
21. But then you’re like, wait. I got this.
22. Three-ish hours later, you sign and seal that envelope, and head out the doors of Chambers for the last time. Your emotions are indescribable.
23. You’re so proud of yourself for getting through the madness.
24. And you’re actually kind of sad to leave this place that you love.
25. But not that sad. See you in August.
