Why are our mums always right?
They say “because I have been young once”.Â
My mum is the most incredible person in my life. I am 22 and studying Communications and Media in DCU. She has taught me to be the best me I can be! My name is Roisin, meaning little rose. As a child I found learning difficult (I was recently diagnosed with ADD) and I shared my concerns with my mum who said “no my little Rose, it’s because you just take a little longer to blossom”.
Without my best friend (my mum), by my side I never would have gotten through my anxiety and depression.
Every day is an ongoing struggle as I’ve been suffering from anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember.
My mum is my angel, who on bad days is always just a call away no matter what.
She has five children and has raised four completely on her own, such a task proves she is the strongest women I know! My mother is my beauty and I would not be here living my dream in DCU and experiencing all that university life has to offer if it wasn’t for her.
We learn to appreciate life because of people like our mothers.
They are the true heroes!
