This week’s campus celebrity is none other than senior Curtis Edmonds. Curtis is a political science major from Chicago, or as he says enthusiastically, “CHICAGOOO.” He has a fierce passion for Beyoncé’s music and a genuine love for Denison.
Favorite movie: Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2
Favorite song: “Just What I Am” — Kid Cudi
LC: What is your favorite thing about Denison and why?
CE: I love the people. It wouldn’t be what it is without the people. I’ve met some of my best friends at Denison and I feel like I learn something new from each person I meet here.
LC: What would be the title of your autobiography?
CE: “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS: And other stories”
LC: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
CE: Maybe I’m writing, maybe I’m in politics, maybe I’m a manager of Chipotle or Trader Joe’s. But I’m definitely happy!
LC: What is something random about yourself?
CE: I listened to the Beyonce album in one sitting for the 14th time last week
LC: What things do you not like to do?
CE: I’m not a fan of the beach or going to the DMV or waking up before noon
LC: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?’
CE: Oh God, I love food too much to just pick one :)
LC: What is your spirit animal?
CE: Pikachu. Always Pikachu.
LC: If a genie granted you one wish, what would you ask for?
CE: Make education free at all levels for every person that wants to go to college. And then I would find a way to charm the genie into giving me a second wish so that I could ask for the power to fly
LC: What are your extracuricular activites?
CE: Up until January, I was editor in chief of The Denisonian, which I would describe as one of my greatest joys of attending Denison. I was also involved in student government and event planning. In my free time, I like reading long form journalism, sampling different kinds of India Pale Ale (IPA) and hanging out with my closest friends. And I <3 the YAASSSS movement.
LC: Why did you choose Denison?
CE: It was easily the prettiest school I visited and it felt like the only school that had a community. I don’t think I would change my decision at all!
Keep your eye out for Curtis as he graces the campus with his *flawless* presence.
