Born and raised in Ghana, junior, Ekow Thompson is this week’s campus celebrity! Ekow lived in Ghana for 18 years, before moving to Granville, Ohio to come to Denison. Ekow returns to Ghana every Christmas; however, this Christmas, he was in Berlin for a history department trip! Ekow is a member of the Denison men’s a capella group, The Hilltoppers. Just last week, he had his first solo, where he sang, “Change in My Life,” and killed it. We sat down with Ekow and learned some new facts about this talented guy!
Ghana or Ohio: Ghana beaches for sure.
Major: History, Communications minor.
Favorite Candy: Skittles.
Peanut Butter or Jelly: Peanut butter AND Jelly.
Ideal First Date: Depends on what time of year. If it is winter: order in thai food, eat next to the fireplace, and just to get to know her “to the crackle of the fire.”
Celeb Crush: Halle Berry.
One Superpower: time traveler.
One food for the rest of your time: Huffman…just kidding. Definitely a Döner, a Turkish delicacy.
Favorite Place in the World: Prague, never been but it looks beautiful.

Ideal Sunday Morning: Staying in bed.
Role Model: My dad because he’s a hard worker and he’s been able to have success in whatever situation he comes across. He’s an innovative thinker.
5 years from now: After law school, I would like to go into corporate law and have a model girlfriend named Katalina.
