“Forever Alone” on Valentine’s Day? Have no fear; Katie is here (to help)
Does your Facebook status read single? Do you dread the entire existence
of Valentine’s Day and cringe when you hear the dreaded V word? Will you
choose to rock your inner Goth than stoop down to the traditional red and
pink? Do you feel nauseous when your “taken” friends say, “love is in the
air” or “he’s taking me to Chipotle AND paying”? If you have answered yes
to any or all of these questions, trust me your not alone. I, too, suffer from
the Valentine’s Day “Forever Alone” Blues and I’m here to help.
1. Make the day all about you! If Valentine’s Day is truly all about
love, then love the only person who will never let you down or cheat:
YOURSELF. Spend a few extra bucks online shopping or plan a
mini spa day for yourself. Here’s a link to a DIY spa day at home:

2. Have fun with your other “forever aloners”! Trust me, you’re not
the only one who is single on Valentine’s Day so have fun together.
Hit up an awesome restaurant, or a local karaoke bar with your
friends. Just because it’s Valentine’s Day, doesn’t mean you can’t
have fun.
3. Organize a Valentine’s gift exchange! Set up a fun gift exchange
with all your single friends. Why not have a secret admirer be your
good friend, who can shower you in gifts and chocolate?
4. Rom-Com Marathon! Who better to spend your Valentine’s Day
with than celebrity hunks Ryan Gosling or Liam Hemsworth? Your
roommate may go out on a movie date with her boo, but you will
have hours of steamy romance with gorgeous actors.
