It seems we canât mention fall without mentioning pumpkin. Lattes, candles, pies, and jack oâ lanternsâpumpkin is the mascot of October.Â
Â
But did you know pumpkin (loaded with Vitamins A and C) could heal and moisturize your skin by removing dead skin cells?Â
Â
Take a break from midterms, open your pantry, and get ready to bump up your pumpkin intake for a fall glow in return.Â
Â
Pumpkin Facial Ingredients:Â
- 1 Cup of Brown Sugar (Light or Dark)
- 1 Teaspoon ground Cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin puree (cooked or canned)Â
- 1â2 Cup of Coconut Oil (I prefer the solid rather than the liquid, however both work)
- The zest of one orange
Â
Directions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
- Apply to clean, damp skin avoiding the eye area (itâs a tad messy, so I do this over a sink)Â
- Rub the mix gently on your face in circular motions
- Allow the mask sit on your face for about 10-15 minutes (During this time, just relax)Â
- Rinse with warm (not hot) water, and pat your face dry with a clean towelÂ
Â
I was inspired to try this face mask/scrub last fall, and I have been using it ever since! I promise, you will see results in how your skin looks and feels. And best of all, you wonât break the bank!
