If you are pursuing creative endeavors in a big, wonderful, diverse city, you are really lucky. Opportunities to network and improve oneself are literally around every corner. You are surrounded by extremely creative and passionate people just waiting to collaborate with you. If you’re eager to start taking advantage of this, look no further than Creative Mornings.
Creative Mornings was started in 2008 by Tina Roth Eisenberg who wanted to establish an ongoing, free event for creatives in New York. Since then, it has grown and spread rapidly. There are now 179 chapters in various cities across the world.
It is a simple concept. Once a month, on a Friday at 9:00 am, Creative Mornings hosts a forty-five minute talk centered around a monthly theme complete with delicious breakfast and coffee. It is open to anyone in the community, and networking with other creative individuals is highly encouraged. The program is completely free for the public. It is organized by volunteers and funded by sponsors and venues.
I’ve attended both October and November’s events, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a boost in motivation and an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.
Their manifesto below encapsulates their purpose perfectly.

To give you an idea of what to expect, here are some social media highlights from October’s event. The speaker was the hilarious Saya Hillman who focused on the theme of being a pioneer and creating your own path in life.
