Alex Paul is one busy man. As a senior English Writing major who is involved in many organizations on campus, he’s still able to keep up with his schoolwork and his social life and still have the time to be interviewed by us. He is someone who can do it all. Alex is intelligent, involved, and, of course, cute!
Her Campus: I hear that you are heavily involved on campus?
Alex Paul: I am a Co-News Editor for The DePauw, a WGRE DJ, Area 30 career center volunteer, a First-Year Mentor, and a member of Alpha Tau Omega. So yeah, I guess I am involved in a lot.
HC: I would sure say so. I have never heard of Area 30 Career Center, though. Can you tell me a little more about that?
AP: Sure, Area 30 Career Center is mostly a vocational thing that people got there to do. Police training goes on as well as people who are getting their GEDS.
HC: Oh gotcha. And, how was being a First-Year Mentor?
AP: It was fun. I got a great group of people; that was lucky. We don’t have as many meetings as we had first semester, so I don’t see them as much as I used to.
HC: Hate to say this, but you are a senior, and graduation is on the horizon. What’s the plan?
AP: I have no plan. Right now I am applying to jobs and then I’m going to see what happens from there.
HC: What kind of jobs are you applying for?
AP: Mostly advertising, PR, and journalism positions.
HC: Do you have any advice for the underclassmen, like myself?
AP: Don’t stress about grades. As seniors once told me when I was a freshman, it only matters what professors you take and what you learn from them.
HC: What’s has been your favorite memory of the past four years?
AP: Honestly, Bid Night my freshman year. It was a little too much fun to say the least. I also went abroad to Ireland for a semester, and that was pretty awesome. I would recommend students to definitely take advantage of that. Also, this semester has been great. Just hanging around the house with the guys.
HC: Now that our readers have gotten to know you a little bit, it’s time for the quick Campus Cutie questions. What is your favorite color?
AP: Green
HC: How about your favorite food?
AP: Lamb
HC: …
AP: I’m Greek.
HC: Oh, I was going to say, that was a little unexpected. Okay, What about your dream date?
AP: I’m pretty simple. I would probably just take a girl to Hoods [and Capers] or the Duck to grab a beer, if they are of age of course.
HC: What is your biggest turn on about a girl?
AP: Someone that is funny and sarcastic because I am both of those things. I would say that I am a little more sarcastic than funny though.
HC: And your biggest turn off?
AP: Someone who is too serious.
HC: If you could date a celebrity who would it be?
AP: Robin from “How I Met Your Mother.”
HC: Really?
AP: Yeah, I am a BIG “How I Met Your Mother” fan and she is such a bro and that’s awesome.
HC: How about on here on campus, do you have a campus crush?
AP: That’s tough, you are putting me on the spot here. I guess I would have to say the women’s basketball team.
HC: The whole team?
AP: The whole team. They are so talented.
HC: Are you going to support them in Holland this weekend?
AP: Yes, I am leaving Friday for their games.
HC: Anything else you would like the readers to know?
AP: I am currently unattached.
