Her Campus: Hi Charlie, how about we start of with you telling us a little bit about yourself?
Charlie Roberts: I am a sophomore, member of the Versace IM basketball team. I am from Zionsville, IN, not too far from here. I knew about DePauw because both of my parents went here and I chose to come here because it is the right sized school with a good academic reputation and it’s a lot of fun.
HC: All good reasons and that’s cute that both your parents went here! So what we really want to know, are you single or taken?
CR: Yeah, I currently have a girlfriend! I met her on Chatroulette. She’s really great.
HC: Well…we are glad that worked out for you! She’s a lucky girl to be with the new campus cutie! What would you say you look for in a girl?
CR: I look for a girl who is smart, independent, funny, and easy going.
HC: What would be an ideal date for you?
CR: My ideal date would be riding around on a tandem bicycle—no helmets—we all need a little adventure in our lives.
HC: Never would have thought of that before but that’s a great idea, definitely an adventure. So do you have any celebrity crushes?
CR: Definitely Alex Morgan of the US Women’s soccer team. She’s beautiful and I admire her athletic ability.
HC: Good choice! What’s your biggest turnoff?
CR: Well, I have two big turnoffs. The first is chewing with your mouth open. The second is when girls drink blue liquids or eat a snow cone and then their lips, teeth, and tongue are really blue and it won’t go away.
HC: I agree with the first one! The second one I’ve never heard before…but I could see how that could be a turnoff. What’s something most people don’t know about you?
CR: Most people don’t know that I prefer golden Oreos over regular Oreos. Also, I competed in freestyle scooter competitions until I was 14.
HC: Freestyle scooter competitions, that’s awesome! What’s currently playing on your iPod right now?
CR: Pretty much anything that is on Dana Hayes’ Thanksgiving playlist on Spotify. It’s a playlist he made specifically for his family to listen to throughout their Thanksgiving 2013 festivities. It’s golden, you should follow it. But my favorite song right now is “Where We Should Be” by Cherub.
HC: I’ll look into it! What’s your favorite thing about DePauw?
CR: My favorite thing about DePauw is the Adirondack chairs on East College Lawn. They’re a great place to sit.
HC: Hopefully now since it’s getting warmer people can actually sit on them! What’s your favorite place to eat in Greencastle?
CR: Hmm my favorite place to eat in Greencastle would probably be Downtown Café. They serve up some great sandwiches and chili.
HC: Last question, what are you looking forward to most during second semester?
CR: The thing I’m looking forward to most is Spring Break in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my “doods.”
HC: That’ll be so fun! Good luck this semester and thanks for your time!
 CR: Thanks and no problem!
