The transition from summer to fall has been pretty rocky this year. With the weather starting in the 40s in the morning, then increasing to the 70s later on, it is hard to figure out what to wear to last all day.
As we approach the colder weather, I have been seeing some styles become more prominent lately:
- Flannels:
Around campus, I have been seeing flannels being worn many different ways. For example, with a t-shirt or tank top underneath, or even over a sweatshirt. Flannels are definitely going to be around this fall.
- Leggings:
While I feel like leggings have always been around, something new this fall is that I have seen more flare-out leggings. While the people I have seen wearing them pull it off, I am still not fully convinced yet for myself because I still can’t pull off bootcut jeans.
- Jeans:
I have seen a lot of jean combinations with sweaters and long sleeved t-shirts and I am here for it. Low rise seems to be making a comeback so maybe we will see more of that this fall.
- DePauw sweatshirts:
And last but not least, the DePauw sweatshirts are always in style and no one can change my mind on that one!
