Jah’Sway came out on her front porch for the interview with a fall inspired ensemble and a pearly white smile plastered across her face. She appeared nervous at first but after a few minutes she relaxed. This week’s Campus Cutie showed us her unmistakable bubbly personality.
HerCampus: Jah’Sway tell me about yourself
Jah’Sway Robinson: I’m a junior, sociology major, religious studies minor and I’m from the Bronx, NY.
HC: Wow you’re a long way from home. What made you choose DePauw?
JR: I didn’t hear much about DePauw until last minute when I decided to attend. I liked that it was a small school so that I could have a strong relationship with my professors and get to know more people.
HC: Had you heard of HerCampus before?
JR: I have heard of HerCampus before I came here! I don’t know how I stumbled upon the website, but once I found it I found the DePauw link and became very excited since not every college has a HerCampus chapter.
HC: So you’re no stranger to Campus Cutie then?
JR: (laughing) No I’m not!
HC: Well being this week’s Campus Cutie, describe your perfect date.
JR: My perfect date would have to be doing something fun like going to an amusement park or doing something really spontaneous. Then afterwards grabbing a bite to eat and getting to know the guy better.
HC: What is the first feature you look for in a guy?
JR: Definitely confidence, since that shows their sense of humor or intelligence. Whatever the person’s best traits are can really be shown through their confidence.
HC: And what about physical feature?
JR: There isn’t one physical feature that reels me in, so I don’t focus on that.
HC: You mentioned confidence as something you look for first. So what’s a big turn off for you?
JR: A turn off is someone who’s obnoxious and not a good listener. I want to be heard and even if you don’t agree with my ideals or thoughts I want you to see where I’m coming from and listen.
HC: If you were stranded on a desert island and could only take one celebrity crush with you, who would it, be?
JR: Ryan Gosling. Hands down.
HC: Do have any last things you want HerCampus readers to hear?
JR: Stay involved and don’t be afraid to speak to people that you wouldn’t normally reach out to. Including me.
