It’s here!! Little Five, one of the absolute best weekends on campus, is here and we couldn’t be more excited!! I’m sure everyone has noticed the cyclists speeding down Locust Street at alarming speeds, and the team pictures that have peppered Facebook lately. And let’s be real, it’s wonderful.
The Little Five bike race has been a part of DePauw since 1956, when the first race was sponsored by the Union Board as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Fund. The week has been filled with special events like a blood drive, a 5k footrace in the Nature Park, a dodgeball tournament, a car stuff, and even more. In 1973, the first female rider participated in the male-dominated race, and in 1975, the first female race was established with teams representing their Greek organizations, and Independent teams.Â
The weekend will kick off with Street Sprints at 5 o’clock down Anderson street, and a FREE concert at Neil Fieldhouse of MKTO!! Enjoy it, DePauw!!
