This week’s campus cutie is Michael Cash Hineman, the first.
He is a 5’8, brown eyed, black haired, handsome young devil. He resides in Indy in the off season while not here at DePauw. Currently he is a sophomore living in Mason Hall, he is undeclear for what he plans to major in, and he is a proud new member of Alpha Tau Omega. Last year he was on the swim team, however, he decided he wanted to focus more of his time on his studies, so he retired in the fall of 2012. Now he likes to play recreational basketball with his friends, Fifa, and listen to music in his spare time.
Her Campus: So Michael, for starters, tell me a fun fact about yourself.
Michael: I have a twin sister, she goes to IU. Also, I’m not a cat person.
HC: What is your favorite tv show?
Michael: How I met your Mother, the final season premieres tonight!
HC: How do you feel being in a fraternity?
Michael: I feel like a new man…coming from a family with two other sisters, its nice to have some ‘brothers’ in my life.
HC: What do you love about DePauw?
Michael: I like the fact that I can walk into any room and most likely know someone and be able to say hello or take a stroll down Locust Street and wave to a friendly face.
HC: What is your favorite study spot on campus?
Michael: Third floor of Roy O. where I get lost in my thoughts.
HC: What kind of music do you like?
Michael: Most every genre of music but I prefer not to listen to country.
HC: What is your favorite meal?
Michael: My mother’s enchiladas…they were actually my first meal at school this year.
HC: What is your favorite meal on campus?
Michael: The Duck’s teriyaki wings…with some ranch (of course).
HC: And, how do you take your coffee?
Michael: I fill my cup with ¾ coffee, add 3 packets of sweetener, and a ¼ of 2% milk.
Now for the more romantic stuff…
HC: What do you look for in a girl?
Michael: I like when a girl is easy going like myself. I like someone who is honest with me and is fun to be around.
HC: Would you rather a girl eat a rice cake or a big mac?
Michael: A big mac.. it means she’s a cheap date, but I’m not worried about spending the big bucks on my ideal woman.
HC: Do you like to study with anyone? Specifically a girl you may be interested in?
Michael: I prefer to study by myself because I don’t feel like I have to entertain someone. (Sorry ladies, don’t try to study with him. Impress him outside the library.)
HC: Are you a romantic?
Michael: I’m not really sure, I’ve been out of the game for a while.
HC: What is the most creative date that you could come up with to take a girl out in Greencastle?
Michael: Probably take a walk to the nature park, then Almost Home, then walk to Dairy Castle where we would share a cookies and cream milkshake, two straws. Nothing better than local restaurants. And then I would walk her back home under the moonlit sky.
HC: Do you kiss on the first date?
Michael: No. (What a respectful young man)
HC: How would you approach a cute girl at a party?
Michael: I’d get one of her friends to introduce me.
HC: So would you say that you have a campus crush?
Michael: No not necessarily, I’m single and ready to mingle.
